WoW Forever editions and prices: Heroic Pack, Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection

You don't have to buy anything extra to play World of Warcraft: Forever: according to Blizzard, access is included with a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. On top of that there are three optional upgrades, the Skyborne Heroic Pack, the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection, priced at €29.99, €59.99 and €79.99 (US$29.99, $59.99 and $79.99) on the official shop on 10 October 2026.

What you need to play

Blizzard's pre-purchase article of 12 September 2026 states that World of Warcraft, including Forever, requires a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. The three editions are called "optional upgrade editions": none of them is needed to log in on launch day, 4 November 2026 (times in our release date guide).

What the base access leaves out is the new race. According to the shop's legal notes, playing the Skyborne and their starting zone, Zephras Isle, requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher. More on the race in the races and classes guide.

Prices

These are the prices shown on the official Blizzard Shop product pages (EU and US) on 10 October 2026; the EU shop says they include applicable VAT. Prices may change, so check the shop before you buy.

What each edition includes

The editions stack: each one contains everything in the one before it.

Skyborne Heroic Pack. The Skyborne race and Zephras Isle, Early Name Reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount (riding training is still bought in game), the Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb, the Veteran Adventurer's Rucksack, the Shen'dorei Windwell toy, Skyborne decor for Housing in modern World of Warcraft and one Invite-A-Friend code.

Skyborne Epic Pack. Everything in the Heroic Pack, plus beta access, 30 days of Game Time starting 4 November, more Veteran Adventurer cosmetics (the official Forever page names the Loyal Companion bear mount and the Outdoor Wear set), Lordaeron and Shen'dorei tabards, four pets usable only in Forever (Zergling, Panda, Diablo and Pachimari) and two more Invite-A-Friend codes, three in total.

Warcraft Forever Collection. Everything in the Epic Pack, plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Warcraft III: Reforged Forsaken Kingdom campaign and Forsaken and Human statuettes for Housing.

The shop's legal notes add that the included items are not available in WoW Classic.

Invite-A-Friend codes

The official name is Invite-A-Friend. The Heroic Pack comes with 1 code, the Epic Pack and the Collection with 3 each. Blizzard says the codes will be delivered by email starting 20 October 2026 (PST). A friend who redeems one can play from 4 to 11 November 2026 without a subscription, but the code does not give beta access. Gift purchases don't receive codes.

Early Name Reservation

Any upgrade purchase includes Early Name Reservation, from 27 October to 3 November 2026 (PST): up to three characters, and names go to whoever claims them first. Blizzard has not said at what time it opens. Key dates are on the calendar.

Beta access

The Epic Pack and the Collection include access to the beta, which started on 17 September 2026 and runs through 21 October 2026 (PST). The other way in is opting in for an invitation. The level cap started at 20 and was raised to 30, as a Blizzard forum post confirmed on 1 October. Blizzard has also announced a Server Slam of a few hours open to everyone, still without a date.

Collection deadline and Collector's Edition

The Warcraft Forever Collection is a limited-time edition: Blizzard says it is available through 11 January 2027. The Heroic and Epic packs have no announced end date.

There is also a physical World of Warcraft: Forever Collector's Edition, sold through the Blizzard Gear Store while supplies last. The official articles don't give its price or its contents.

What we don't know yet

• Price and contents of the physical Collector's Edition.
• The exact time Early Name Reservation opens on 27 October.
• The date of the Server Slam.
• Whether prices will change before or after launch: those above are a reading from 10 October 2026.
